Over the weekend of October 16, Bob Dienstbach, Cerro employee and tennis enthusiast, hosted a fundraiser at his home for our neighbor, the East St. Louis Community Tennis Association. Bob presented a check to the board on behalf of Cerro to help support this excellent association that brings numerous opportunities to our area youth.
And what better way to celebrate this event than to be surrounded by the most extensive vintage tennis memorabilia collection in the St. Louis area? Bob has been collecting memorabilia for the last eight years to be closer to his late father, who was an avid tennis fan.
During the event, everyone enjoyed finding the racket on Bob's wall that they used in their youth.
The ESTL Community Tennis Association “is a non-profit 501 C3 charitable organization with the purpose of developing youth through the sport of tennis.” They work at Lincoln Park in East St. Louis and offer East St. Louis youth tennis lessons and provide equipment and education with the goal of building essential life skills on and off the court.
